SILVERDORS KENNEL is nestled in the beautiful San Luis Valley in southern Colorado. At an elevation of 7500 feet, our labs are exposed to the elements of the Rocky Mountains and have beautiful full coats. We were founded in 2013 with the purchase of our first charcoal silver labrador, Shadow. Shadow has excellent bloodlines on both her Dam and Sire going back to long established kennels with champions. In 2014, we purchased Silverdors Scout. Scout is an athletic light colored silver lab. He too has an excellent pedigree. Our kennel started with great foundational bloodlines that have long improved the labrador retriever’s genetics.  We are continually improving our breeding dogs to have the genetics and characteristics that will improve the breed.

Our dogs spend time with us in the mountains.  They can be seen by our side when we hike, backpack, fish, and camp.  They love to ride in the back of our ATV and water is one of their best friends.   I can honestly say they are great adventure dogs.  I am continually amazed at the verstility of this breed.  Given the time and consistence, you can make them into the dog you choose.  They are so smart and trainable.

As a child, my first dog was a labrador. Labs have always held a place in our family’s heart and memories. There is not a more versatile breed of dog. Labradors excel in several categories including: hunting, service dogs, search and rescue, drug detection and of course, in our opinion, the best all around family dog. They are eager to please and love to go with their owners. It is not a wonder why they have been voted the number one most popular breed for twenty-eight straight years running. Given the opportunity to fall in love with these dogs, we are sure you will agree. You can’t go wrong with a labrador retriever from Silverdors.

Scout on the grassSilverdors Kennel’s mission is to only breed and sale dogs that are sound in all aspects of the labrador breed. Our labs contain the dilute genes necessary to produce charcoal, champagne, and silver colored labs. These uniquely colored retrievers attract everyone’s attention, first with their beautifully colored coats and second with their wonderful temperment. Silverdors has placed labs in homes across the lower 48 states.  We have placed puppies from coast-to-coast.  Labs are intelligent, obedient, and easily trained. It doesn’t take a professional to train labs, just a little consistency. With a few minutes dedicated to them everyday, you can train your lab to suit your lifestyle. But don’t take it from us, ask any labrador owner and you are sure to get the same answer.
